I've always wondered if there were intelligent life besides us that live in our universe. Apparently, tons of other people wonder about that as well. For some crazy people, it is their life mission to show the world and find evidence that extraterrestrials do exist. That's only around 1% of Ufologists. There have been books, TV shows, and movies about extraterrestrials and is now a common staple in American culture.
I was introduced to this topic by 2 people. My dad, who introduced me to several History Channel shows about the topic, and my U.S history and economics teacher out of all people. My teacher would sometimes have the show Ancient Aliens on during his study hall if his students were doing well. The show, Ancient Aliens, is also the source for this internet meme:

Now, for some background history.
In 1947, a pilot in Washington state was flying around Mount Rainier when he saw several disc shaped objects in the sky. They looked like they were traveling at several thousand miles per hour and when the pilot tried to get a better look at the objects, they disappeared. The newspaper article mistakenly said that the discs looked like flying saucers and a new term was born. This was the first major UFO incident released to the public.
Now, after several more UFO incidents over the years, such as the Roswell incident, the government started to get involved. The government started a number of projects to collect information about UFO sightings. Now, people are wondering how much the government knows about UFOs and what they're not telling the public.
Conspiracy theorists have done LOTS of theories about UFO's and the so-called government cover up about UFO's, so I'm not going to keep blabbing on about it. To be honest, this is a subject that no one really knows about. But, we know that it really is out of this world. I hope you guys enjoyed it.
